Shari Sebbens

Shari Sebbens joins the cast of Teenage Kicks in the role of Annuska. Annuska is a young pregnant woman who forms a precarious relationship with Mik, the younger brother of her boyfriend Tomi.

Shari Sebbens is most known for her debut film role as Kay in The Sapphires. She has also appeared in the highly acclaimed Australian television series Redfern Now, The Gods Of Wheat Street and 8MMM Aboriginal Radio. Shari also appeared as a special guest on the comedy series Black Comedy and Soul Mates.

Shari graduated from Darwin High School, and four years later, at age nineteen, was chosen to participate in “SPARK”, a theatre mentorship programme established by the Australia Council for the Arts. At age twenty, she was accepted into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where she completed a one year course in Aboriginal Theatre. Upon completing her studies at WAAPA, Shari successfully auditioned for a place at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), studying acting full-time for three years.
